Spirit SUB 12 - Hemmabio (Sweden)

August 03 - 2018

"A thoughtful product like this one is fun to review because I can give a wholehearted recommendation, but it's hard for me not to make a brainwashed impression when I'm not expressing any direct criticism. Personally, I like black or slightly snowy dark wood. But anyone who wants to use the subwofer in a home cinema will appreciate the matt black, while the matt white is more suitable for modern living spaces. RCA outputs are no important detail, but it is also missing if we are to dig into any shortcomings. In other words, this subwoofer is good, really really good."

EDGE A2-300 - Audiophile Magazine (Thailand)

July 23 - 2018

"A2-300 has passed my test of power and dynamic when I listen at high volume level with enormous bass music. I continue using high sound level but the chassis is only warm for my touch. This is normal to the ICEpower amp. I found that the frequency response is very stable and precise. It has good sound since the first minute after turn on, no need to wait for ten more minutes like other amps. The reserved power push music with like liked and musicality with truthful presentation. With various kinds of music, vocals, pops, any reordings, it generates sound with openness and no hiding..."This is the dream amplifier which is easy to use and you can live long with it. Anyone who is looking this style of amplifier, this is the golden opportunity for you."

EDGE A2-300 - (Germany)

June 18 - 2018

"Actually, I do not know any power amp - sorry for the somewhat flat-looking, but true statement - that delivers so much for so little money. It is not just the sheer sine wave power of the XTZ Edge A2-300, but the sound as well. On the plus side there is a strong, fast bass range, an astonishingly "analogous", almost tube-like fine midrange resolution, impressive coarse and fine dynamics as well as a stage construction, which is characterized by a clean, accurate presentation and a lively, non-dissecting sound. If you add price, workmanship and practicality (it's not a problem to put it in your laptop bag), you can only congratulate the manufacturer for the XTZ Edge A2-300. "

The perfect tonality of the entire set and its balanced dispersion characteristics, which forms the basis for precise spatiality, really appealed to us. Even acoustically very complex scenes from films like "Lone Survivor" or "Edge of Tomorrow" were solved wonderfully by the Cinema-M8-Set and left dialogues crystal clear above everything else without dissecting the whole picture or even destroying it."

"When writing these lines in the conclusion, I notice that in the above description of sound I delivered the greatest compliment for the XTZ basically en passant: All speakers, which came to my mind as a benchmark, are, concerning the price level, at least one level above the Alpha. This clearly reveals the level at which the XTZ Divine Alpha plays: resolution / transparency, dynamics, airiness, long-term fitness and neutrality are on an absolute high-end level, also in the range far above 10.000€ there is not (much) more to get."

I am sure that higher price model would have at ease of fulfilling that, but that would be another story to tell. If you are in the market for a natural cinema sounding subwoofer, but also be able to tune for your personal taste/preference in bass, you should definitely give XTZ Cinema SUB 1×12 a try."

"There are not many options for really good sound on the desk. We have already tested the Quadral Rondo Active and they are certainly a good alternative but still I find that the Tune 4 gives a better insight into the music with more timbre and details in the sound. Furthermore the Dirac DSP gives you a unique opportunity to adjust the sound as you like. Whether you're working, surfing or just sitting in front of the screen, the Tune 4 always make an excellent impression. The Speakers can also be used to support the TV sound, for example, via the optical input and it definitely sounds better than any soundbar! "

"The precise, structured and tremendously rich and powerful bass is simply fascinating in this price class. Of course: the competitors are also doing well in reproducing bass, but I think the Swedish developers have achieved something special when constructing the 99.36. In addition, the connection to the higher frequency ranges takes place smoothly, the mid range has punch, plasticity and naturalness without any blurring effect. "Some products instil a positive feeling pretty much the moment you unbox them. They don’t have to be enormously expensive to do so. They simply have to exude the feeling that they have been carefully and thoughtfully designed to achieve the absolute maximum their constituent components are capable of....Speakers are subjective items – two examples of ‘correct’ design practise can sound rather different in practise – but the Spirit 11 is likely to please a great many people. Based on this impressive roster of abilities, it has to be considered a Best Buy."

My expectations from reading several reviews were pretty high, but I have to say that this is a very good product: Bluetooth pairing to my Android phone and tablet was easy, and delivers incredible sound! I use the Dirac DSP when listening on my PC, and this makes them sound even better. Pros: Crisp and clear neutral sound, design, build quaility and wearing comfort. Cons: The buttons are a little hard to press. I absolutely recommend this headphone!

Never have i been so satisfied with a product in 25 obsessed audiophile years. All pro reviews about the Master M2 are absolutely right. The M2 is a full success in all aspects; balanced, natural, wonderful midrange and soundstage, no glare at all, surprising holographic images on some recordings, deep and tight bass, great resolution, no distortion whatsoever, damping is top, driver integration is perfect due to good material and great crossover design. Plays very well low and loud. absolute recommendation, with an honest and serious 20/10 for its price range.

Kent Hansson
Compared the XTZ Earphone Sports to the Polk Nue Voe. Compared three artists and songs with and without Dirac. Artist were Nathan East (superb bass player and musician...Clapton, Fourplay etc.), Gordon Lightfoot and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Songs were "101 Eastbound", "Sundown", and "Paris (Ohh LaLa)", respectively, While the Polk has been my go to headphone for working out (when I can get my lazy butt to do it), they have been replaced. WIth and without Dirac engaged the XTZ was superior in bass, treble, soundstage, dynamics and overall presentation. My notes indicate more snap, more focus, and more bass definition. In addition, they are more efficient so will play louder (but protect your hearing). A clear winner and with Dirac engaged, oh wow, another level of performance. Like that old cereal commercial said, tryem you'll likem!
Produkt: SUB 10.17
Well what can i say about this bad boy? As a former XTZ W10.16 user i was unsure if there was much more to get for the money in the same pricerange. Well i gave it try and bought a Sub 10.17. Unboxing it was as usual with packages from XTZ. Well packaged and the supplied cloth gloves just tell you -This is a expensive product. Out from the box, even before i even had the time to play it for xx hours i immediately noticed some drastic improvment in the sound. Both deeper and more responsive then my old W10.16. And thanks to the smaller measurement, it looks better in the living room- So that's one more big plus from the lady in the house. More bass for me and a satisfied lady in one packages, it can't be better. Overall. I won't ditch my old W10.16, not for now anyway. But in a near future i will buy one more Sub 10.17 to fill up the space in the living room and enjoy to life of surround sound. I can't give the Sub 10.17 a 5 star because a 5 star means 'i will never see a better subwoofer then this'. And that would not be fair to XTZ since they will keep deliver better products as time and technology keep going on. My final verdict is -There's a new kid in town and hes here to kick ass!
Quick shipment. Elegant packing Detailed Owners handbook After unpacking and charging the phone, it was easy to pair it with iPhone 6. First time I put this on my head it feels like it was built for my head. Very comfortable even after 2-3 hours of use I have more expensive headphones (cable and with noise cancelling) that do not come near according detailed and clear sound. The best sound obtains with use of XTZ Player or with Dirac Audi Processor (DAP). Use of DS Audi player from Synology give great sound used directly from the Synology server or from DS Audio on mobile phone. On my 2 channels stereo amplifier (AUX cable) it sounds perfect. No distortion. I have used it on online meeting (called in by mobile phone) and the sound was clear and detailed and the microphone act perfect. My wife tried them and it was not easy to get back again :-) AUX cable could with benefit have been longer. If the XTZ Player had supported playing from other vendors (streaming services) had been beneficial. Search field for artist, songs and albums had been comfortably. I recommend these headphones strongly. A.N.

I have owned these speakers now for nearly 2 years which i feel is enough time so that i can write about them properly. My setup consists of these speakers in a 2.1 arrangement with a B.K Monolith sub and a Harmon/Kardon media receiver. This speakers are by a mile the best i have ever owned. Everyone who comes around for the first time comments on the imposing stature of the speakers and the build quality which so far has been fantastic, then they hear the speakers. The sound quality blew me and everyone else away, i can hand on my heart say sub £750-900 NOTHING comes close to these. The sound is very true to recording and honest, with these speakers you really can pick out the intricacies in the music and notice things that you hadn't heard before. Also the fact that they are tuneable in regards to the bass response is great, it meant i could tailor the sound that i wanted for my setup. Hours of daily use has really put these speakers to the test and now they are bedded in and ready to go, i can with 100% confidence recommend the brand and products to anyone, after my experience with these speakers i find myself listening to more varied music genres just so i can try and exploit every last db of the drivers. Speakers that sound so good they have got me listening to all types of music........ who wouldn't like to explore beyond the musical horizon. Amazing speakers at a really very fair price with 2 day UPS delivery from Sweden............... incredible.
From the beginning I had high expectations for these headphones. I currently own XTZ speakers and in my experience the company has always delivered excellent sound quality for the money. Lets start off with the most important topic, sound quality. Unboxing these headphones left me a little worried, could these small headphones really produce a “big” sound? I am used to headphones with over-ear pads and a much bigger physical appearance. I can however confirm that this headphone punches much higher above its weight class, than the first appearance indicates. The sound signature is much like other XTZ products. Very detailed and true to the original mixing. Bad recordings will be delivered without makeup. Well produced tracks will make you smile and enjoy all the details, and care that has been put into the track in the recording studio. The highs are delivered crisp and vibrant with lots of details. The mid presents both voices and instruments in a very natural way, which lets you enjoy any genre of music. The bass is what surprised me the most, considering the modest driver size of 40 mm. It is tight and powerful. Not in a way that overshadows the rest of the frequency range, but strong enough to make bass cords and bass drum get to your ears and make your foot go up and down. These headphones can deliver a convincing sound with lots of punch. The Bluetooth range is claimed to be up to 10 meters. I have been listening to music without any sound dropout, more than 20 meters away from my cell phone. Walls and obstacles will of cause reduce range, but generally the signal is very stable. Battery life is excellent. You do not have to be worried about running out of battery, before your day is over. I have not performed a none-stop play test, but I suspect they play much more than 14 hours at regular listening level. When they eventually run out, they can quickly be recharged with a computer via the USB port or a phone charger. Design is of cause a personal preference, but I think most people will like the sleek design. I like the matt black finish which covers most of the surfaces and the chrome finish in at the joints. The build quality feels very convincing. The joints feel solid and nothing looks or feels like it is going to fall apart anytime soon. I have had no worries throwing this pair in my backpack, with the rest of my stuff, when I go for work. Nothing to criticize at all then? No, well almost. If you crank up the volume, the sound will still be good, but the perspective and separation of each instrument will gradually become worse. The buttons placed on the right side of the headphone can be hard to operate, while the headphones are on your head. All the buttons are made up of one big surface without any dents or markings you can feel with your fingers. I have both experienced pushing the wrong button and taking off the headphone to look for the right one. The DSP feature which these headphones are branded with, only works when you use the dedicated XTZ app. I play most of my music from other apps and have not been using this feature much. Are these headphones bang for the buck? I would definitely say yes. At 170 € they are by no means cheap and in this price range there are lots of good headphones around. For the same price you can get wired headphones that will offer better separation of the instruments and better high volume performance. But these will often require you to spend at least an additional 100 € on an external headphone amp. Additionally these are often bulky and not that ideal for carrying around or using in the bus. The XTZ Divine have a perfect size and are easy to bring with you everywhere. In short I would recommend these to anyone looking for a good pair of headphones for everyday use. If you are looking for something wireless, I think you will have a very hard time finding anything better.
I got tired of getting entangled in the headphone cables when listening to music. I was very happy with the performance of the xtz mh-800 amplifier speaker setup so I decided to try their headphones as well. I have used my xtz devine with bluetooth and sony Z4 tablet, listening to music and watching game of thrones, and the connection has worked flawlessly even when walking around in the room a few meters from the tablet. The battery life has been good and the charging quick. The fit of the headset is excellent, most headsets feel comfortable for a short while but this headset stays comfortable hour after hour. I really like that they are semi closed, they shut some ambient sound out but do not completely put you in a sound bubble which I find uncomfortable. From a functional point of view they have been close to perfect. I have not seen how to replace the batteries when they have lost recharging capacity, if they cannot be replaced this is my only complaint regarding design. Reviewing sound is very subjective without a reference sound source and headphones. Overall I am very happy with the sound, far better than any headset I have previously owned like sennheiser 212 pro or beyerdynamic-mmx-101-ie, but of course not comparable to quality standalone speakers. The dirac software using the divine filter, on the PC using cable, produced an even clearer sound that was noticeable clearer. There is no android app at the moment and this is a shame particularly since there is one for ios.
Produkt: S2 Atmosphere
I have bought a pair of S2 Atmosphere and I'm really happy with the result i got in my dedicated home cinema. They play very neutral and required surprisingly little EQ to hit the target in relation to my fronts and surrounds. Although structurally somewhat different than my Klipsch speakers, they manage to melt seamlessly into the soundstage. This was one of my main concerns as i currently have a Klipsch THX Ultra2 system but it was fortunately no problem. I've seen some video clips at reference volume and I could not push them to distortion or clipping, so after my initial tests I would describe it as a competent THX atmos speaker. There is a right and left hand so that they point slightly toward the listener when hung from the ceiling. The acquired flushmount bracket made installation very easy. At first i thought they were a little expensive, but compared alternative universal mount the price is pretty close and these fit perfectly and support the speaker with rubber to avoid scratches on the speaker. They are REALLY well packed down and it gives almost the same feeling to package them like when you open an apple product The paint is really nice matte black are matching my Klipsch KS-525 surrounds very well. Speaker covers are mounted with magnets as seen on B & W speakers and you choose where you want to place XTZ Cinema logo. Really nice for buyers like me who have a different brand - i just leave them off to match the rest of the setup. Both the speakers and covers are packed in nice fabric bags and they come with set of white gloves to avoid getting them greased up. You really get the feeling that you are dealing with a premium product. The terminals are recessed into the cabinet and there is a slot to guide the cables freely to the terminals when mounted to the ceiling or wall- well thought out. The only small detail that I will point out is that they are designed to stand on XTZ's Cinema M6 front speakers. Therefore, there are some additional threaded holes, which can be seen when installed in the ceiling and it pulls down a bit on the otherwise attractive finish and design. To conclude i find it a very nice, competent and neutral atmos speaker that I am can to recommend everyone, who are looking to expand the system to atmos at an affordable price without sacrificing sound quality or finish.
