Divine 100.33

Divine 100.33 - Graceful high-end compact speaker

The Divine 100.33 competes with the finest high-end speakers. Its audiophile genes are apparent when taking a closer look at the drivers. The two mid-bass ceramic units are made by the German high-end manufacturer Accuton and belong to the best in the world. They are mounted in a D'Appolito arrangement around a world-class ceramic dome tweeter from Visaton. The cabinet is perfectly finished and gives the 100.33 an absolutely exclusive and distinguished look. At the same time, the cabinet is perfectly selected to optimally support the drivers. You will enjoy this loudspeaker in every way possible.

The Divine 100.33 is fundamentally based on the same excellent components as the Divine 100.49. The dome tweeter is also the KE25SC from Visaton, one of the best ceramic tweeters available, unbeatable in its speed and its minimum distortion level. For the mid-bass, two C173-11-191 drivers from Accuton are used in a D'Appolito arrangement. These drivers play both very deep and with great accuracy. Overall, these drivers are among the best in the world and make a strong contribution to the incomparable sound of the 100.33.

Sound Tuning
Sound Tuning

The complexly designed crossover of the Divine 100.33 provides the ability to adjust the tweeter and adapt the speaker not only to its environment, but also according to personal preferences. Further adjustments can be made with the help of the supplied plugs for the bass reflex ports. By closing both of the ports, the 100.33 will behave as if it was a sealed box construction resulting in even more precise sound. Opening one or two of the ports will increase the level of the bass and give additional power to the deep frequencies.

Cabinet
Cabinet

The housing of the Divine 100.33 consists of several layers of MDF, having a thickness of up to 65mm, which is used to achieve an a highly rigid structure. For additional support, the convex sidewalls keep resonances inside the cabinet to a minimum. The housing is also triply stiffened to break standing waves and to increase the rigidity even further. These measures lead to an extremely smooth and accurate sound.

Surface
Surface

Two options are available for the surface of the Divine 100.49. The first is a black piano lacquer that is applied in a complex multi-layered process to achieve an absolutely pure and homogeneous surface quality. Alternatively, a high-quality real wood walnut veneer can be chosen which gives the Divine a unique appearance.

Terminal
Terminal

The connection terminal of the Divine 100.33 has gold plated bi-wiring terminals to provide a perfect fit for the speaker wire. This allows for optimum signal transmission. At the terminal you can also make adjustments to the tone of the tweeter.

Front Cover

All drivers of the Divine 100.33 are protected by metal grills to avoid potential damage. These grills are permanently installed and optimally matched to the drivers so there is no impairment to the sound quality.

Tweeter

We have chosen an ultra-fast ceramic tweeter, made for reproducing crystal clear sound, even at a high SPL levels without any distortion. The tweeter is produced by the German company Visaton, and is an absolute reference class unit. It is shielded, with an internally damped cavity and a ventilated voice coil. The tweeter offers an extremely flat frequency response and a low resonance frequency.

Midrange / Woofer Driver

Thiel & Partner, also called Accuton, is one of the most famous manufactures of loudspeaker drivers. XTZ Divine 100.33 uses T & H C173-11-191, a 6,5” driver in the top of the line. This woofer and midrange driver is in the top of the world and can only be found in extreme High End loudspeakers. T&P C173-11-191 is a ceramic driver with a light cone, equipped with a neodymium magnet. The driver is extremely stiff and at the same time light, which contributes to the high sensitivity.

Crossover
Crossover

When XTZ produced the Divine 100.33, a great deal of effort was put into the crossover filter. All passive components are of the highest possible quality to minimize the influence on the signal. We use an optimal selection of air wound coils (with low internal resistance) and coils with steel cores (these accept a high level of magnetic saturation), MKP capacitors and MOX resistors. The Divine crossover is basically a 3rd order filter for woofer and tweeter and a 2nd in the midrange. The exceptionally good Accuton midrange driver led us to this solution. With its smoother roll off it contributes to both bass and treble response, leading to a more consistent sound as a result of this smoother filter.

Sound Tuning
Sound Tuning

The Divine 100.33 is equipped with XTZ’s Room Tuning concept which with simple settings can alter the speaker’s sound character. With the two bass plugs that can be inserted in the vented holes it’s possible to alter the bass characteristics in three different ways. Even the character of the tweeter can be changed in different ways. The terminal is equipped with jumpers so the tweeter can be adjusted in 4 increments: 0db, +4db, -2db, and -4db.
